Now I ....

My mum has reached Mukah safe and sound on All Saints Day. She brought 50 chai kuih for me. How nice, lovely and caring my mum is! I ran through 3 pieces at a time. I really indulged in those chai kuih. Hehe, that's why my BMI is a little bit higher. Since I thought it is overweening greed to keep so many for my own, I decided to give out some to my church pals.

My mum is still very energetic, she is busy laundering, cooking, scavenging my house though she is in her seventies. In earlier post I have mentioned that she is disciplinary, she always goes for a brisk walk in the morning. She is still doing that now over here, only that she has changed her schedule to suit my time.

Though I know pretty well that I need to pick up some exercise to keep myself heathy, I have never done that consistently because I am lazybones.

My mum has come, she goes for briskly walk everyday if the weather allows her to do so. I think I need to follow my mum's trend to keep myself sound. I have no reason not to be her companion. Yes, furthermore I can keep myself fit too.

She is going back to Kuching on 16 November. It has 10 days for me to accompany her in her evening walk. I hope she enjoys staying with me. Just wana share a photo of my mum and my family with you.

My mum, sharing the joy on AD's convocation day.

I am going to Shanghai on the 18Nov and only be back on 26 Nov. Here, I received an invitation card from Jude.

To Jude Wong PC, Auntie is really really sorry that I can't attend your wedding matrimony and the dinner reception at Phoenix Court Restaurant, Paramount Hotel. May our good Lord binds two of you in one with His Love. Enjoy the bliss of your marriage life for ever and ever!

When knowing that Suituapui is invited, I wana meet him on this special occassion. Sigh, I just can't make it la..

Shout Out Joy

"Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture" (Ps. 100.3).

In worship we acknowledge who God is and what our relationship to him is. The Lord is God - sovereign, supreme, majestic... The surrounding nations of the time worshipped their idols. Our culture worships a variety of ideologies and material achievements. But in worship we acknowledge that in the final count only the Lord is God.

The Lord is our Creator. We belong to him as part of his creation. But we also belong to him in a particular sense because of redemption and grace. We know his loving protection, care and nourishment.

I have been worrying about my girl's tutorial fees, lodging expenses, airticket fares to and fro.
Now God provides her needs. I wana shout out joy to my Almighty God.

My Jesus my saviour
Lord there is none like You
All of my days I want to praise
The wander of Your mighty love

My comfort my shelter
Tower the refuge and strength
Let every breath all that I am
Never cease to worship You

Shout to the Lord all the earth let us sing
Power and majesty praise to the king
Mountains bow down and the sea
Will roar at the sound of Your name
I sing for joy at the work of Your hands
For ever I love You forever I stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You

My mama is here soon

My mama, a typical Foochow lady who was born in the zodiacal year of the pig. When she got hold of the high level of LDL in her blood test and the high risk of getting coronary artery disease, she is constantly alert and vigilant of her daily diet. She has been taking medicine to lower her LDL for numbers of years.

She is stern and disciplinary. She wakes up before dawn. She recites the rosary before she goes for a brisk walk in the park nearby the house at Tabuan Jaya, Kuching. She prepares the food with low fat, low salt, low sugar, no monosodium glutamate ( I called it as Chinese cuisine addict). Hehe, I am not a monosodium glutamate freak. Though she leads a healthy life and consumes healthy food, with the aid of medication, her LDL level never falls to normal range. What a ridiculous!! Do we say that it is so what called 'hereditary cholesterol disorder'? She has 4 out of 6 children are having the same problem.

Though she is in her seventies, dementia or memory loss is absolutely not an element of her age. Her good memory is incontrovertible!

It has been months since her last visit to Mukah. We would be able to chit chat till midnight. I miss the chat so much. We can even hang on the telephone for hour. I requested her to come to Mukah on All Saints Day and spare two weeks with me and she responded spontaneously.

How much I look forward to seeing her in Mukah soon.
