Peter the apostle and Paul the teacher have brought us to know the law of the Lord.
The feast of Sts Peter and Paul falls on 29 of June. Sts Peter and Paul are our church patron saints nevertheless you know the name of Mukah Parish Church.
Our feast day Eucharistic Celebration was celebrated in bilingual, Melanau and Bahasa malaysia as majority of the congregation is Melanau. The installation of Parish Councilors and Church Wardens were done in the church during the Eucharistic Celebration. All the parish councilors are in coat whereas the wardens are all in black Melanau costume.
o...yes, when I first came to Mukah , I was told that a few Melanaus pursued black magic by my late husband who was a Chinese Melanau. Black magic, black costume, are they related? I like black wear so that I may not look plump. :D
